There are various types of bulkheads for different classes of fires. They are commonly used in areas such as machinery shops, pump rooms, and accommodation areas. The work of the bulkheads is to minimize the spread of fire into sensitive places.

Inert Gas System

If the workplace has oil tankers, then it makes sense to have inert gas systems. They are meant to protect cargo and oil areas from potential fire hazards.

Fire Alarms and Detectors

There is a need to have fire alarms and detectors in the workplace. Some of the areas to install fire detectors include deck areas, accommodation rooms, and machinery spaces. The alarm systems notify the employees whenever there is an outbreak of smoke or fire.
